gd   Culture of Zadar

Zadar
is a cultural, economic and administrative centre of north Dalmatia. The town has rich spiritual and material culture as well as tourist tradition. It abounds in archaeological treasures and monuments dating from ancient times, the Middle Ages and the Renaissance period.

The allure that Zadar has for tourists comes from a combination of nautical tourism, a variety of catering offer, beautiful beaches and promenades in immediate neighborhood of the town and in its surrounding area. Scenery, numerous bays and beaches, cultural and historic monuments and a variety of catering offer all make Zadar and its extended neighborhood a very attractive tourist area in Croatia.
